The Mindfulness Jedi
Applying Ishikawa's Fishbone,
the Cause and Effect Diagram
Development
This project was initiated as a final assignment for online course OPWL 545 “AI Applications in Learning and Development” at Boise State University in Boise, Idaho. The objective of the written portion of the final assignment is to demonstrate at least three distinct AI tools that were utilized in the final project and to discuss quality assurance, including how quality assurance was achieved in the final project.
I planned to deliver an e-learning course on Workplace Performance and Ishikawa’s Fishbone. Specifically, the course would be focused on teaching students how to identify and how to apply Ishikawa’s Fishbone (also called the Cause-and-Effect Diagram) to solve a workplace performance challenge.
My goals for the learners were as follows:
By the end of the video, learners will be able to-
-
Describe the purpose of Ishikawa’s Fishbone,
-
Describe the structure of Ishikawa’s Fishbone,
-
Label a few of the parts that make up Ishikawa’s Fishbone, and
-
Name several potential root causes for a challenging workplace performance problem.
